Keyboard Shortcuts

Navigate NewBizBot without touching your mouse—essential for processing 50+ prospects daily

Why Keyboard Shortcuts Matter

When you're processing 50 prospects in an afternoon, every mouse click adds friction. Power users rely on keyboard shortcuts to move through research workflows at speed—D to clear, Enter to run, F then C to copy results, repeat.

Example workflow: Research 5 competitors in 3 minutes using only keyboard:

  1. D → type "Tesla" → Enter (first company)
  2. F then C (copy results)
  3. D → type "Rivian" → Enter (second company)
  4. F then C (copy results)
  5. Repeat for Lucid, NIO, Fisker

No mouse. Just rapid-fire research.

Common Workflows

Quick Navigation Between Pages

Jump between pages: G + another key

  • G then W → Go to Workspace (main research page)
  • G then H → Go to Recent Activity
  • G then P → Go to Prompt Configuration
  • G then G → Go to Grid Workspace
  • G then S → Go to Settings & Preferences

Use case: Reviewing past research → starting new research → checking Grid results

Flow: G + H (view Recent Activity) → find past research → G + W (back to workspace) → start new query → G + G (switch to Grid for batch work)

Running Multiple Queries in Sequence

Core research loop:

  1. D → Clear current query
  2. Type your query (or T for voice input)
  3. Enter → Run research (while input is focused)
  4. F → Jump to final answer
  5. C → Copy results (within 5 seconds)
  6. Repeat

Alternative: Use Esc to exit input mode, then R to rerun the last query without refocusing the input.

When to use: Processing a list of prospects one-by-one. Run query, copy results, paste to CRM, next.

Voice + Keyboard Combo

Hands-free query entry:

  1. T → Start voice recording
  2. Speak your query: "Research Microsoft recent acquisitions"
  3. T again → Stop recording
  4. R → Run the transcribed query
  5. F then C → Copy results

When to use: Multitasking—reviewing documents on screen while queuing research with voice.

Quick Copy

Copy workflow:

  1. Complete research
  2. F → Scroll to final answer and enter copy mode
  3. C → Copy final answer to clipboard (within 5 seconds)

When to use: Quickly extracting research findings to paste into emails, CRM, or documents.

When tool calls or related entities show numbered links:

  • 1-9 → Click links numbered 1-9
  • A then 1-9 → Click links in "A" group (A1, A2, etc.)
  • B then 1-9 → Click links in "B" group

Use case: Following up on related entities without mouse. Research Tesla → see "Related: 1 Elon Musk" → press 1 → research Elon Musk.

Behavioral Notes

Auto-Timeouts

  • Link number mode (N): Shows numbered badges (1-9) next to links in related entities. Auto-exits after 10 seconds.
  • Letter mode: When there are 10+ links, they're grouped into letter sections (A1-A9, B1-B9, etc.). Press a letter key to jump to that section and enter letter mode, then press 1-9 to select a link within that group. Letter mode auto-exits after 5 seconds, returning to regular link number mode.
  • Copy mode (F then C): Has a 5-second window to press C after pressing F.

Mode Conflicts

  • Grid numbered mode disables global navigation shortcuts
  • Shortcuts are blocked when typing in text inputs (except Escape and Ctrl/Cmd combinations)
